”A-d-i-a-m, the name of an African queen, that my mama she gave to me”(”Mrs Dymott”)
Her parents came from Asmara, the capitol of Eritrea, but met in Italy after they had both, unaware of each other, left the home country. The couple moved to Sweden and Uppsala where Adiam was born in 1982. Eighteen years later she came to Stockholm where she took her first steps as a vocalist, thanks to a job as a receptionist at a studio. Whenever the songwriters/producers needed a singer they would ask her to enter the studio. One thing (demo recordings) lead to another (Razzia Records) and now the time has come for Adiam to release her first album. The songs are filled with all the things that inspired her throughout the years. Soulful pop melodies meet rock’n’roll with the right to party and heavy hip-hop beats.

WHAT IF DILLA PRODUCED THE BLUEPRINT?
A few years back, rumours started surfacing that one of Dilla's infamous beat CDs had made its way into the hands of none other than Jay-Z.
If the Jiggaman HAD used any of Dilla's beats, what would they have sounded like?
Well, here's a chance to hear what might have been. Using some of Dilla's best beats, and the vocals from the groundbreaking and critically acclaimed "Blueprint" album,
DJ Jimmy Green has re-arranged the Blueprint into a glimpse of what might have been if these two musical legends had collaborated.
